ANGELA H. LEE

In April 1999, Soror Angela H. Lee began her lifetime commitment as member of the illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated when she was initiated through the dynamic Epsilon Delta Chapter at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. While a collegiate, Angela served as the 2nd Vice President, Chair of the Fundraising Committee, Co-chair of the Delta Week Committee, Member of the Nominating and Membership Intake Committees and as the Voting Delegate for the 1999 Regional Conference.

Immediately following graduation from Temple, Soror Lee joined the Federal City Alumnae Chapter (FCAC) in Washington, DC. As a member of the FCAC, Angela has served as a Delteen Advisor, member of the Fundraising Committee, and a member of the Leadership team as the Co-chair of the Fundraising Committee. She is continuing her commitment to FCAC as the current Corresponding Secretary and member of both the Fundraising and Membership Committees. Soror Lee has been a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta since 2001.

In May 2000 she graduated magna cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. And in December 2001, Angela completed the degree requirements for a Masters of Social Work from Howard University with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0. Immediately following graduation, Soror Lee became employed in her current position as the Community Relations Coordinator with the District of Columbia Housing Authority.

Soror Angela Lee is committed to improving the quality of life for people. Some of her service projects include: conducting diversity awareness workshops, organizing food, toy, clothing and school supply drives, developing a scholarship program and its supporting fundraisers, and participating in projects to refurbish public schools. She has organized annual holiday parties for underprivileged children and served as a mentor for young women. Angela most enjoys working with the elderly. She has performed countless hours of service to benefit senior citizens, including organizing programs and services which provided financial and emotional support to grandparents who have primary custody of their grandchildren.

Soror Lee is member of the National Association of Social Workers. In her spare time she enjoys planning events, crocheting, and decorating/personalizing clothing and accessories. In March of 2003, Angela wed her college sweetheart Marc C. Lee- member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
