TESSA
R. MURPHY
Soror Murphy was initiated into Delta at Alpha Chapter,
Howard University in the Spring of 1988 where she enjoyed serving in
various positions, including Second Vice-President. After graduating
from Howard with a BBA in Accounting in 1990, she proceeded to join
FCAC. She has enjoyed various leadership roles since transferring her
membership in 1990, including serving the chapter for four years as
Treasurer, two years as Historian, two years as Co-Chair of Finance,
two years as Co-Chair of Fundraising. She is currently serving in her
third term (although non-consecutive) as Treasurer, but believes that
she can still bring many innovations and best practices to the position.
Also, while a member of FCAC, Tessa has worked on the Founders Day,
Membership, Publicity, Archives, PPD, Educational Development, Del-Teen,
Finance, Fundraising, Step Team, and Executive Committees.
Professionally, Soror Murphy obtained certification as
a CPA and currently works for the ExxonMobil Oil Corporation, where
she primarily does financial analysis. She also currently enjoys serving
as the Primary Advisor for Alpha
Chapter.
