The FCAC Chaplain's January Inspirational Message

I encourage each of us to "Go for what we know!"

Life, as stubborn, ornery, and as tough as it may seem or feel at times, is actually both beautiful and fleeting. We must act, plan, and do in the "now moments." There are no promises that we will make it home from an event, or that we will meet the sun the next morning when it emerges from the night. We have no idea of the specifics God has in mind for our lives; however, we do know for certain there is a plan, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 "... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Let us be about the business of taking full advantage of the gifts God has given. Let us not waste a moment in fear, doubt, worry, or angst. Instead, let us open our hearts, minds, and spirits to all that is possible for us and the good of all concerned. As a good friend often reminds me, "Be blessed and be a blessing."

And so, it is. Amen.
