The FCAC Chaplain's October Inspirational Message I encourage each of us to "loosen our grip." Holding on too tightly to anything is neither a good use of our time nor in our best interests. Instead, letting go and letting God is the only right way to live, move, and have our being. Over the years, I have learned the difficult lesson of holding on to people, conditions, and situations longer than made practical sense. I held onto relationships (friends and intimate), jobs, preconceived notions, clothing items, piles of unfiled papers, post-it notes, and, admittedly, even old, tired thinking. Today, I am letting it all go, and I am lovingly giving it all to God. Today, I am surrendered, and I release any and everything that no longer serves my highest good. And so, it is. Amen. |
